Oya's Childcare Zuid

Welcome to Oya’s Childcare Zuid, our daycare centre at Agamemnonstraat 44 in the heart of Amsterdam-Zuid. In our spacious, bright building with a quiet, enclosed garden we provide care for up to 106 children aged 0 to 4 years. We believe childhood is full of miracles and that every child develops unique talents. Our team of nannies and qualified pedagogical staff ensures your child feels safe, secure and stimulated. Our pedagogical vision combines proven developmental theories with common sense. We offer a balance between structure and freedom: a predictable daily routine that still leaves room for personal initiative. The morning starts with free play, followed by an organic fruit snack. The children then gather in a circle to discuss the day using pictograms. Next, we engage in activities that stimulate cognitive, language and sensorimotor development: making music, arts & crafts, reading aloud, children’s yoga, practising numbers & letters and training pencil grip. In between, we go outside for sports and games that promote gross motor skills and balance. At 11:45 we serve a warm, organic meal freshly prepared by our caterer Madaga. Afterwards it is time to rest: the youngest children sleep in separate nap rooms, while the toddlers can relax with a book or quiet play. After the afternoon snack (yoghurt, crackers or vegetables) comes a second outdoor session and another activity. At 17:00 all children receive a warm soup before they are free to play until 18:30. Safety and well-being are our top priorities. We use a digital parent portal and maintain a clear nutrition and allergy policy. Our horizontal group structure means babies, toddlers and preschoolers play in age-based groups, so activities and materials perfectly match their developmental stage.
