Welcome to Oqido location Lariksweg, the daycare centre in the heart of Eibergen where your child aged 0 to 4 feels safe, secure and challenged every single day. We are part of Kinderopvang Berkelland B.V. and provide care for up to 64 children, divided into horizontal age groups: a baby group (0-2 years) and a toddler group (2-4 years). This way every child receives exactly the care and stimuli that match his or her developmental stage. Learning through play is our guiding principle. Our qualified staff work with an officially recognised Early Childhood Education programme that stimulates language, numeracy, social-emotional and motor development. Each month we choose a new theme and translate it into creative corners, books, word cards and excursions that fit the children’s world of experience. Think of an “animals-in-the-forest” theme with a visit to the petting zoo or an “autumn” theme with leaf-crown crafts and gnome stories. The rooms are cosily arranged with real-life materials and a themed table that sparks curiosity. We closely monitor every child’s development. Upon enrolment we hold an intake and settling-in conversation, after which we carry out four observations during the toddler period. Every six weeks we discuss the findings with our pedagogical coach and with you as a parent during a 10-minute talk. In a personal portfolio we keep artwork and observations which, when your child turns four, are handed over to the primary school. Practical matters are well taken care of. We provide bottle feeding, fruit and drinks and offer soft sleeping areas where your child can rest after an active morning. Outside there is a secure garden with play equipment and natural materials where children can run, explore and play together.
