KDV Oosterveldschool

KDV Oosterveldschool is located at Schoolstraat 4 in the village of Uffelte. Since 9 August 2017 we have been offering professional childcare for up to 30 children aged 0-4 as part of Kinderopvang KaKa B.V. Our site has two spacious group rooms: a 51.3 m² day-care room for up to 14 children and a 59.3 m² toddler room for up to 16 children. A separate sleep room is available for the youngest children, and we use our own fenced section of the school playground as outdoor space. We follow the VVE programme Piramide. From the age of 2½ we provide at least 16 hours a week of focused activities aimed at language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development. Every toddler can thus receive at least 960 hours of pre-school education within one and a half years. Our qualified pedagogical staff closely monitor each child’s development and tailor the programme accordingly. Each group has fixed core staff and every child has a personal mentor who regularly discusses progress with parents. The daily schedule is clearly visible in the group: pictogram cards show the routine, play corners such as a construction corner and reading corner are clearly labelled, and we start and end the day with circle time. Parents are actively involved: there is always time for a hand-over at drop-off and at the end of the day they hear what their child has experienced. We work thematically; an example theme is ‘Living’, where we discuss pictures of different types of houses and offer creative activities around this topic. KDV Oosterveldschool is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. Extended care before 07:30 is available on request.
