Welcome to KDV Natureluur De Vlindertuin, located at Sint Antoniusstraat 45 in the centre of Heythuysen. As part of Natureluur Childcare, this location offers day-care for up to 48 children aged 0–4. Our two horizontal groups – the Caterpillars (0–2 years) and the Butterflies (2–4 years) – are tailored to the specific needs of each age range. Nature is at the heart of everything we do. Children meet our sheep, chickens and rabbits daily and explore our large green garden with mud kitchens, sandpits, picnic tables and outdoor cribs. When the weather is less inviting, our bright play-atelier invites them to build, paint, puzzle or curl up with a book. The Caterpillars have their own nappy-changing and nap area within the group room; the Butterflies use a separate nappy room and an adjoining sleep room. All spaces are light, warm and fitted with large windows for clear sightlines. Our programme follows a well-defined pedagogical plan that includes pre-school education (VVE). Language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development are woven into playful activities that match the children’s world of experience. Parents are actively involved in their child’s progress and can reach the staff directly through dedicated WhatsApp groups. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a safe, homely atmosphere in which every child is free to develop at his or her own pace.
