KDV de Molenwerf

KDV Molenwerf (formerly Pierewiet) is a warm and trusted daycare centre located at Molenwerfslaan 9 in the heart of Heemstede. We provide care for up to 50 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our horizontal groups ensure that children play and develop alongside peers of the same age, guided by a consistent team of qualified pedagogical staff. Everything we do is built on trust, attention, and a sense of security. We operate on a small scale with a strong sense of involvement, where stability and familiarity are key. Each group has familiar faces, so children quickly feel at home. We follow a structured daily routine, with rest and regularity as important pillars. Our location is a characteristic old building with high windows and large, bright spaces. Children play daily on the spacious playground under old trees. For the youngest ones, there is a separate baby garden where they can safely explore and play. We regularly take trips in the neighbourhood, such as to the local petting zoo 't Molentje, the market, or the nearby bakery. We work closely with parents and value open communication. During drop-off and pick-up, there is always time for a personal conversation. We use Nutrilon baby formula and Jumbo brand nappies, but parents are welcome to provide their own brands. We accommodate allergies and dietary needs. KDV Molenwerf is part of Kindcentrum de Molenwerf, allowing children to make a familiar transition to primary school and after-school care. We are a not-for-profit organisation, investing everything in the development of our children.
