Mijn Blokje at Haarlemmermeerstraat 40 in Amsterdam is a small-scale daycare centre that is part of the nationwide organisation Kindercentrum Mijn Blokje. We provide care in one vertical group for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our homely and calm interior, with neutral wall colours and warm materials, helps every child feel at home quickly. Our location is open 52 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, allowing working parents flexible use of our childcare services. We follow the Gordon Method: respect, attention and space for each child’s unique character are central. Our pedagogical staff receive regular coaching in this approach, ensuring we provide a safe and stimulating environment every day in which children can develop.
