KDV Michaël

Welcome to KDV Michaël, our day-care centre located at Esther de Boer van Rijklaan 24 in the heart of Bussum. We are part of Kindcentrum Michaël, where day-care, playgroup and after-school care are united under one roof together with Vrije School Michaël. This unique collaboration offers children aged 0-4 a warm, familiar environment in which growing and learning come naturally. Our anthroposophical vision is the foundation of everything we do. Our pedagogical staff – all trained in anthroposophy – provide calm, regularity and attention for every child. We follow a natural daily rhythm in which free play alternates with moments of coming together. The rooms are furnished with natural materials and open directly onto a safe, green outdoor space where children can explore, move and play. Warm, organic meals are part of our daily care and we have separate sleeping rooms so that the very youngest can rest peacefully. Parents experience our centre as a “warm bath”: personal, loving and professional. We look at the individual child and tailor our care accordingly. KDV Michaël is for children from 0 to 4 years old. We use vertical groups, in which young babies and toddlers play and learn together with pre-schoolers. In this way children not only develop their own skills, but also learn from and with each other. Our aim is for every child to feel secure and to enjoy being who they are.
