Miamondo

Miamondo is our daycare centre located at Van Dedemstraat 6B in Hoorn, within walking distance of the station and the hospital. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland and have been providing childcare for children aged 0 to 4 for over 40 years. At Miamondo, we work in a homely atmosphere where every child feels safe and secure. We have 32 permanent childcare places and are open daily from 6:45 AM to 6:15 PM. Our pedagogical staff offer activities that challenge and stimulate children. In the toddler group, the focus is on language, discovery and playing together. We believe it is important that children learn through play from an early age and can follow their curiosity. Through our collaboration with Fiolet Taaltraining and Talland College, Miamondo serves as a learning environment for future childcare workers. Through an observation window, students and parents who are new to the Netherlands can observe what happens at a daycare centre without the children noticing. This special collaboration creates a rich mix of cultures, interests and beliefs. There is ample room for celebrating festivals from different cultures and sharing perspectives. In addition to regular childcare, we also provide care for children of parents studying at Fiolet Taaltraining or Talland College. In this way, we contribute to an inclusive society where every child and every parent is welcome.
