KDV Kleurrijk

KDV Kleurrijk is located at Wiekslag 25 in Ermelo and is part of CKO KleurRijk, a Christian childcare organisation that provides small-scale, challenging care rooted in a Christian worldview. We focus on personal attention for every child, a homely atmosphere and experience-based activities with plenty of room for sport, creativity and nature. We care for up to 44 children aged 0–4 years in horizontal groups: one baby group, one toddler group and one pre-school group. All of our experienced pedagogical staff hold a paediatric first-aid certificate and work in self-managing teams, sharing Christian values with love and respect. Every child is seen as unique and is given space to develop at his or her own pace. Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy: children are encouraged to explore, investigate and express themselves in a hundred different ways—through drawing, singing, building, storytelling or simply energetic play. We believe in “what engages the child” rather than “keeping children busy”. Staff observe, facilitate and document development in photo reports collected in each child’s personal ‘Book of Memories’. When a child leaves, this book is given as a lasting keepsake. Children enjoy daily outdoor play in our spacious garden, full of opportunities for nature and movement activities. Indoors we provide a rich selection of developmental materials and challenging toys. Language development, creativity and social-emotional growth receive special attention.
