Klein Steijntje

Welcome to Klein Steijntje, our daycare centre in the heart of Langeraar. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Liemeer and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm, homely environment. Our location at Langeraarseweg 86 has room for up to 48 children whom we care for in one vertical group. This means babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together, just like in a large family. At Klein Steijntje we follow a clear daily programme with rest and regularity at its core. The youngest children get all the time they need to sleep in our separate sleeping areas when they need it. For the very youngest we provide customised bottle feeding and follow the home rhythm as much as possible. We offer three healthy meals a day: an extensive breakfast, a hot lunch and a light evening meal. In between, we serve fruit and healthy snacks. Does your child have an allergy or special diet? No problem, we are happy to adjust the menu to his or her needs. Our pedagogical staff work with Early Childhood Education (VVE) to stimulate your child's language and cognitive development. We carefully observe each child and regularly discuss progress with you during parent meetings. For the very youngest we use a transfer booklet in which we note exactly how the day went. For toddlers we write in the notebook occasionally so you don't miss anything. Safety is paramount with us. Visitors always report to the door before entering our building. We work according to the four-eyes principle and always have a back-up available. Our staff have the right diplomas and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
