Kits Oonlie Peuteropvang Noord

Peuteropvang Noord has been located in a BSO space of Kits Oonlie at Pater Schiphorststraat 1 in Alkmaar since 17 August 2009. We provide an HKZ-certified toddler care that combines the benefits of a playgroup with those of day care. Our toddler group is open every weekday morning, except during school holidays, and offers half-day care for children aged 2 to 4. Children follow the Early Childhood Education programme (VVE) ‘Uk & Puk’. This programme stimulates toddlers’ broad development and prepares them for primary school. Language development is central: we read books aloud, sing songs and repeat activities so everyone can join in. Arts and crafts are an important part of our offer; we regularly create craft projects with the children. We eat and drink together at the table in a cosy atmosphere. Our pedagogical staff work according to Kits Oonlie’s key principles: we do not force children, approach them positively, stimulate their development, maintain an open-door policy and provide plenty of outdoor play. We give every child space to develop at their own pace and strive for every child to come to the toddler care with pleasure and go home with a smile. Because our toddler care falls under the Childcare Act, working parents can make use of the childcare allowance from the Tax Authorities. For parents who do not qualify, there is a municipal contribution where only a parental contribution is paid. Peuteropvang Noord is part of IKC Daalmeer and works closely with parents to optimally prepare children for primary school.
