Welcome to Zien Childcare Het Helpernest, a small-scale daycare centre that has been the trusted place for childcare in Helpman, Groningen for 28 years. Located at Verlengde Hereweg 107, our centre offers a warm, homely atmosphere where children aged 0 to 4 feel at home right away. We provide care in three cosy group rooms: Baby Group Spetters (0-2 years), Mixed-age Group de Hummels (0-2.5 years) and Toddler Group Kanjers (2-4 years). Each group is run by a fixed team of experienced pedagogical staff, including colleagues who have been with us for 25 years, ensuring your child sees familiar faces every day. Our educational approach is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Emmi Pikler. We believe every child is born with ‘100 languages’ – music, dance, art, food, light and dark, nature and science – and all these languages deserve to be explored. Our richly equipped ateliers and extra outdoor classroom invite children to experiment and create, while our beautiful outdoor playground offers daily opportunities for natural play and discovery. We are open 51 weeks a year from 7:00 to 18:30 and offer flexible care. Warm meals, fruit and healthy snacks are included, and we accommodate allergies and dietary needs. For the youngest ones we provide bottle feeding, quiet moments and familiar sleep routines in separate sleeping areas. Parents are actively involved through our parent committee.
