Thuishuys Natuurlijk

Welcome to Thuishuys Natuurlijk, the smallest daycare center in the wider Kerkrade area. Since June 2018, we have been providing a warm second home for up to eight to ten children aged 0 to 4 years at Heerlenersteenweg 1B. As a continuation of the former Heemhuys Welten in Heerlen, we are affiliated with Drakepit childcare and work from an anthroposophical pedagogical vision. Our homely environment is furnished with natural materials and radiates peace and security. Upon entering through the secure gate with bell, you enter our spacious garden with grass, terrace and shrubs. The hall with coat area leads to the living room where sitting, play and dining areas come together. Adjacent you'll find our kitchen and the small bedroom - which we proudly call our 'outdoor bedroom', where the windows are open summer and winter so the children always have fresh air. We believe in the power of nature for the development of young children. Our enclosed garden provides immediate play fun, but also within walking distance are the new park West with extensive lawns and picking garden, and the Botanical Garden in Terwinselen where we go with the pushcart. This nature-rich environment forms the basis for our daily activities and discovery trips. As a very small-scale daycare, we know each child personally and can optimally connect with the individuality of each child. We offer both full and half-day care, with flexibility and the child's well-being at the center. Our warm and professional care in a homely atmosphere makes children feel at home quickly at Thuishuys Natuurlijk.
