Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf St. Vitus, part of the Integral Child Center St. Vitus in the heart of Winschoten. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years in one vertical group called 'De Welpjes'. Our daycare center is located at Dwingelooweg 19 and is part of a unique collaboration between Stichting Primenius and Tamariki. Everything revolves around creating a safe, familiar environment where your child can develop optimally. We work according to the principle of 'fixed faces', where your child sees the same familiar pedagogical staff every day. Our permanent team consists of Esther van Delden-Boven, Agnes de Jonge, Iris Lutjteboer and Marian Lutke. This continuity provides peace and recognition, essential for the development of young children. Our spacious indoor area is equipped with various development-oriented corners. The home corner with play kitchen, table and kitchen utensils invites role play. The cuddle corner with mirror and standing bar offers the youngest children a safe place to play and crawl. We have open shelves where children can take out toys themselves, stimulating their independence. The theme corner is regularly adapted to current themes using appropriate materials. Our outdoor space is a true paradise for children. The enclosed garden features a sandbox, outdoor kitchen, vegetable garden, play equipment, traffic square, nature garden and even a forest area. Children can play with bicycles, scooters, balance bikes and cars here while getting acquainted with nature and the environment. We have a special outdoor sleeping house where children can sleep wonderfully in their own bed, surrounded by fresh outdoor air. We work according to the Healthy Childcare guidelines, consciously dealing with nutrition, exercise and nature. Our meals consist of seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grain crackers and semi-skimmed dairy products. We maintain fixed eating and drinking moments, aligned with the natural rhythms of young children. For the youngest children, we offer Early Childhood Education (ECE), working with thematic activities that match their developmental level. We stimulate language development through reading, singing and rhyming. Creative activities such as crafting with various materials are on the program, as well as making music with simple instruments. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 18:00. Early care from 06:30 is possible by arrangement. We are open 52 weeks per year, excluding official holidays. For parents, we offer flexible childcare options, including half-days, tailored to your needs.
