Kinderopvang Kwibus

Kinderopvang Kwibus has been located since 1999 in a characteristic, climate-conscious villa at Oude Amersfoortseweg 73 in Hilversum. We provide small-scale childcare based on anthroposophical principles for a maximum of ten children aged 1.5 to 4 years. In a homely atmosphere of calm and warmth, the children are given every opportunity to explore the world with all their senses. Calm, rhythm and recognisability are central to our daily routine. We consciously work with fixed moments for play, care, sleeping and being outside. The natural garden surrounding the villa forms a rich play and learning environment where children can move freely, scoop sand, fetch water and experience the seasons. Annual festivals such as St. Martin's Day, Midwinter and Easter are carefully prepared and celebrated together with the children. Our pedagogical principles are based on anthroposophical human studies. This means that we see each child as a unique being that develops at its own pace. We offer plenty of room for imaginative play with simplicity, natural materials and few stimuli. Singing, making music and painting are part of this, as is helping with household tasks such as cutting bread or watering flowers. Thanks to the small group size, we can really give attention to each child and maintain good contact with parents. At Kinderopvang Kwibus we find it important that children feel safe and secure. Our pedagogical staff provide warm, loving care and follow the child in its development. We work closely with parents and hold regular parent meetings. In this way we create together a familiar place where children can be who they are and where they enjoy going.
