Welcome to Huisje Boompje Beestje childcare at Laan van Meerdervoort 124 in The Hague. This location is part of our small-scale chain of day-care centres in The Hague and Scheveningen. Everything we do centres on calm, regularity and genuine attention for every child. Here we run two groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to about 2 years (maximum 7 children) and a mixed-age group from 1 to 4 years (maximum 12 children). Babies stay in their own familiar group until about 1.5 years, after which—when space allows—they move on to the 1-4 years group. This set-up creates a natural age progression and ensures a safe, homely transition. Our rooms are furnished like a real home: natural materials, sustainable toys and a table that is carefully laid. We use only organic food and eco-friendly care products. Every day we head out: into the city, to the park or simply to play outside. We live with the seasons, bake our own bread and discover the beauty of big and small things together. Music, sound, rhythm and song are part of our daily experience. We communicate openly and respectfully with the children so that every child feels heard and seen. Calm and regularity form the foundation; from there each child is given space to develop at their own pace without being compared to others.
