Kinderopvang Het Toverbloempje (KDV)

At our daycare centre at Lage Vaartkant 152 in Etten-Leur we provide care for children aged 0-4. We operate a baby group, a toddler group and a mixed-age group, so every child is placed in the environment that best suits his or her development. Our homely indoor space feels like a second home: a place full of challenges where children can explore, play and grow. We use the Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk. Through hands-on activities we stimulate all developmental domains. We look at what each child needs and tailor our approach accordingly. In addition to the regular Uk & Puk activities our range is broad: we cook together, do crafts with materials we collected during a forest trip, and give extra attention to our babies with baby massage, sensory play and one-to-one moments. Outdoors is just as important as indoors. Our spacious outdoor playground invites play in sun, rain or snow. We go for walks with the push-car, stroller or cargo bike and regularly go on outings. For the very youngest we even offer the option to sleep outside in special outdoor beds; parents simply give permission via a form. Healthy nutrition is a matter of course for us. Our meals are varied and rich in vegetables and fruit. We eat and drink at the table in smaller groups so we can give each child personal attention. Through the Klasbord app we share photos, quotes and news so parents can follow along throughout the day. We are proud that Het Toverbloempje feels like an extension of home. Together with parents we ensure that children feel safe and secure and can develop optimally.
