Kinderdagverblijf Het Stoerwoud at Otterstraat is a warm and safe place in the heart of Utrecht where children from six weeks to four years old can feel at home. We provide care for 40 children, divided across four horizontal groups. Our pedagogical staff form a close-knit and dedicated team that ensures a sense of security and a familiar environment. The clear structure of our day helps children relax, play together, and form their first friendships. Growing up naturally is central to our approach. We believe that fresh air, outdoor play, and contact with nature have a positive effect on children's health and well-being. Our spacious natural garden also gives city children the space to explore freely, developing their senses, motor skills, social abilities, and creativity. Sustainability and environmental awareness naturally form part of daily life. At Het Stoerwoud, we value the opinions of the children themselves. We talk with them about what they enjoy and what occupies their minds. We often hear that children love the animals, the music, and playing outdoors. We strive for children to come to our daycare with joy and to develop at their own pace and in their own way.
