Kinderopvang de Wonderberk B.V.

Located in the charming former rectory of the Adelbertus Church at Rijksstraatweg 26 in Haarlem-Noord, daycare centre De Wonderberk welcomes up to 80 children from 10 weeks to 4 years. The historic building features stained-glass windows, high ceilings and art-deco tiles, while a modern lift makes every floor easily accessible for parents and staff with prams. We organise children into five horizontal baby and toddler groups, each with its own kitchen where we prepare daily meals using exclusively organic and biodynamic ingredients. Whenever possible we harvest vegetables from our own kitchen garden so the children can experience how food grows and tastes. Our generous, fully enclosed garden lies behind the building. Under the shade of two majestic plane trees children can explore a play hill, winding paths and the vegetable patch. The outdoor space is safely fenced and offers age-appropriate play opportunities for every developmental stage. Our approach is rooted in anthroposophical pedagogy: predictable daily rhythms, natural materials and attention to the seasons give young children the security they need to thrive. Parents can park in front of the church or use the covered bicycle shed next to the entrance. In short, De Wonderberk provides a second home where play, development and growing up go hand in hand in a warm, natural environment.
