Kinderland 't Speelhuisje is a small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Schoonhoven, located in a characteristic building at Weergang 1. As part of the national Kinderland organisation, we combine the benefits of a professional organisation with the personal approach of a small-scale location. We provide daily care for a maximum of 12 children aged 0 to 4 years, where our small scale ensures peace, overview and personal attention for each child. At 't Speelhuisje, we believe that children develop best in a familiar, homely environment. Our permanent team of experienced pedagogical staff provides professional childcare where each child is seen and stimulated at their own pace. We have deliberately chosen a small group, allowing us to really spend time and attention on the individual needs of each child. The interior of our location has been carefully composed and feels like an extension of home. Our pedagogical approach is experience- and development-oriented. We work with challenging themes and use the VVE programme Aap, focused on the language and speech development of young children. Daily, we offer creative activities where children are given space to discover, experiment and learn. We have a spacious, enclosed outdoor garden with various play opportunities where children can romp and play with natural materials. The care of our children is paramount to us. We serve a freshly cooked, hot lunch daily and offer healthy snacks. For the very youngest, we provide bottle feeding according to the home front and follow the sleep and feeding rhythms that suit your child's needs. We make conscious, responsible choices regarding food, toys and materials, with sustainability playing an important role. Parents are important partners in upbringing for us. Through our parent app, you receive daily updates about your child's activities, with photos and short reports. This way, you stay involved in your child's development, even during childcare hours. We find it important that parents feel at ease with us and that children can be brought and collected with peace of mind.
