Kindergarden Castricum Kortenaerplantsoen

Welcome to Kindergarden Kortenaerplantsoen in Castricum. We are a daycare centre caring for up to 60 children aged 0 to 4 years. Since 1 October 2002 we have been providing trusted, professional childcare in the heart of Castricum, within walking distance of several primary schools. Our location consists of four horizontal groups: a baby group (0-2 years), a toddler group (1-3 years), a preschool group (2-4 years) and a preschool-plus group (3+ years). This structure allows us to tailor activities to each child’s developmental stage. All group rooms are arranged at child height; from the sideboard where children set and clear the table themselves to the construction corner where paper, glue and other materials are within easy reach. Every day we invite children to explore and learn independently. Outside we have three gardens, each suited to a different age. Our babies play safely in their own enclosed baby garden. Toddlers and preschoolers enjoy a larger garden with a blackboard, water table, sandpit, bicycles and a living willow tunnel. Our oldest preschoolers also have a sand-and-water table with pump, letting them discover the world around them through play. We provide a freshly prepared hot lunch and suitable baby meals every day. Nappies and wipes from Pampers or Naty, formula from Nutrilon, Hipp Bio and other brands, and care products from Naïf and Sudocrem are all included, so parents can bring their child to us worry-free. Our stable, enthusiastic team is here every day. Some of our pedagogical staff have been with us for more than twenty years. Under the leadership of location manager Chantal Hendriks and deputy Linda we create a safe, stimulating environment where children have the space to develop at their own pace. We run the interactive movement programme ‘Friends call me Jim’; through magical stories and characters our preschoolers discover the joy of movement and develop their imagination.
