Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Timboektoe, location Graaf Floris, situated right in the heart of Deventer. Since 1 October 2024 we have been welcoming children at our brand-new premises at Graaf Florisstraat 5, inside the child-friendly Graaf Florishof complex in the Keizerslanden district. With pleasure we provide day-care for up to 30 children aged 0–4 years, spread across two bright group rooms. Our blue group hosts 14 children aged 0–4 each day, while our green group welcomes 16 toddlers aged 2–4. These small group sizes allow us to give every child the personal attention they deserve. Our approach is truly small-scale and child-centred. Your child will meet the same familiar pedagogical staff every day, ensuring short lines of communication and a trusted face at the door. Each day we use the Kiki methodology to work playfully on language development, motor skills and social interaction. Movement, healthy nutrition and language are the pillars of our programme. Together with the children we plant and care for vegetables in our own vegetable garden, learning new words and discovering nature along the way. For children who need extra developmental support we create an individual development plan, always in consultation with parents. We reserve time for one-to-one guidance and, when helpful, collaborate with speech therapists or physiotherapists. Our spacious outdoor area invites children to run, climb and explore; a safe place where energy can be released and new adventures begin. Curious to see more?
