Kinderdagverblijf 't Hummelke is located at Haspengouw 51A in Maastricht and provides small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. We strive to be a second home for two small groups of children and a toddler group. Characteristic are our small scale, safety and familiarity through permanent pedagogical staff, pleasant atmosphere and playful development. Like in a large warm family, the day consists of playing together, eating responsibly and sleeping well. Our pedagogical staff create an atmosphere in which children can develop from a safe feeling. We are not of the strictest type, but the boundaries and rules are clear. Standards and values that are necessary to be able to participate fully in school life later on are taught in a playful way. We offer the clarity and certainty that children seek and stimulate the development of each child. Every child is unique and will develop from that uniqueness. Children develop playfully by imitating other children, but certainly also through our Pre- and Early Childhood Education program Speelplezier. By working with targeted themes, the child is stimulated to participate. Language is paramount here, but all other areas of development are also stimulated. Learning through play is not only fun, but also good preparation for primary school. We offer both regular childcare (fixed days and hours) and flexible childcare (no fixed days, but monthly hours on contract). Our offer is very flexible and in case of emergencies at work we try to help as best we can. We are open 52 weeks a year from 7.00 am (6.30 am on request) until 7.00 pm at the latest. We are closed on Christian holidays, but in case of emergencies you can exchange that day.
