Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Kiekeboe, the small-scale daycare that has been a trusted second home in the heart of Oegstgeest since 1989. Our stately building at Geversstraat 48 welcomes up to 15 children each day, aged 3 months to 4 years, in one vertical group where babies and toddlers play, learn and grow together. Every day 3–4 familiar faces from our steady team of 5 caring, professional pedagogical staff are ready for your child, ensuring continuity and a deep sense of security. At Kiekeboe we believe the first four years lay the foundation for lifelong development. We therefore create a stable environment in which every child is free to follow their own pace. We follow curiosity, offer space to explore and alternate between leading, guiding, stimulating and directing roles. Our spacious, sunny back garden – including a separate baby garden – invites children to run, climb, slide and simply enjoy the outdoors. Moving in fresh air not only supports motor skills but also sparks imagination and social interaction. For the very youngest we keep a daycare diary: a two-way notebook recording naps, bottle feeds and tiny discoveries. Babies receive all the time they need for cuddles, songs, peek-a-boo games and gentle explorations in the baby garden. As children grow we challenge them with gym games, children’s yoga, dancing to music, circle-time singing, arts and crafts, painting, sticking, clay work and plenty of story time. From age 3 they join our 3+ programme: playful early-years education focusing on early maths, English words, spatial awareness, physical education, nature exploration, rhythm and music development, creative expression and social skills. Together we build a broad, school-ready foundation. Our warm, home-cooked lunch is served daily – fresh, varied and perfectly tailored to young palates. Special dietary needs are of course discussed personally.
