Het Coendersnest

Welcome to daycare center Het Coendersnest, located at Van Houtenlaan 33 in the southeast of Groningen. Since 2000, we have been providing childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our daycare center was established following the successful experiences of daycare center Het Helpernest, after which the demand for our childcare approach became so great that a second location was opened. Our building features two group spaces: a baby group and a toddler group. The toddler group has a separate dining room that can also serve as an additional play area. We have two cozy sleeping areas where children can rest peacefully. Toddlers have their own changing room and toddler toilet available. The spacious kitchen provides ample room for preparing meals and bottle feeding, while we maintain strict hygiene rules such as washing hands before preparing bottle feeding and regularly sterilizing bottles and pacifiers. Outside, we have our own outdoor play area that we use frequently. Additionally, we utilize the municipal play area located directly in front of our daycare center. A special service we offer our youngest guests: babies can, with parental permission, sleep outdoors in a so-called 'lutje potje', an old Groningen baby house. We are inspected annually by the GGD Groningen and you receive a transparent inspection report. All our policies are documented and available for parents to review.
