Kinderdagverblijf Dolfijn – location Luchen is situated in Brede School Luchen at Graspieper 10B in Mierlo. We provide care for up to 58 children aged 0 to 4 years. The children are divided into four horizontal groups: the Guppies (0-2 years), the Seahorses (1-3 years), the Squids (2-4 years) and the Sea Lions (2-4 years). Thanks to this small-scale set-up, children see familiar faces every day and receive the calm and attention they need. As a participant in the Brede School we work closely with OBS ’t Schrijverke. This means that education, childcare and leisure activities flow seamlessly into one another. Children experience no real transition between childcare and primary school. Our pedagogical staff hold a valid diploma, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), Early Childhood Education (VVE) certificate and a first-aid diploma. They follow a fixed daily schedule with set times for eating and drinking, changing and sleeping. In between, they organise activities that match each child’s developmental stage. Babies bring their own daily rhythm from home and gradually adapt to the group’s fixed rhythm. We value routine and familiarity. That is why we work with a clear daily programme and offer a safe, familiar environment in which every child can develop at his or her own pace.
