Kinderatelier Emilia

Kinderatelier Emilia offers small-scale childcare in the heart of Oosterbeek for children aged 0 to 4 years. Inspired by the Italian Reggio Emilia approach, we believe every child is unique and explores the world in their own way. In our atelier, we create an environment where children can investigate, experiment, and express themselves through a hundred languages — not just words, but also image, sound, movement, and materials. Our location at Ireneweg 16A is designed as a warm, home-like space where up to 30 children are cared for daily. We work with fixed core groups so that each child experiences familiarity and continuity. Our trained pedagogical staff observe and follow each child’s development closely, tailoring activities and guidance accordingly. We offer quiet moments as well as stimulating discovery journeys in our garden and atelier. Emotional safety is central to our approach. Each group has a consistent caregiver who builds a close bond with the children. We set boundaries with respect and provide structure, allowing children to develop at their own pace. Our spaces are carefully arranged with natural materials, books, musical instruments, and creative corners. Throughout the day, we provide healthy snacks and drinks. For the youngest ones, we offer bottle feeding and rest periods in separate sleeping areas. We accommodate allergies and dietary needs. We also regularly organize parent-child yoga and mindfulness sessions, allowing parents and children to relax together. Kinderatelier Emilia is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, 48 weeks per year. We work closely with parents and value parental involvement. An active parent committee is in place, and we encourage parent conversations and input on our pedagogical policy.
