Kindcentrum Prinses Margriet

Welcome to Kindcentrum Prinses Margriet, located at Prinses Margrietstraat 1 in the centre of Smilde. We are part of Stichting Kindcentra Kits Primair and operate as a true Integral Child Centre (IKC), combining education and childcare under one roof. Our daycare unit is dedicated to children aged 0–4. Calm, clarity and structure are the pillars of our approach. Infants begin in a separate baby or toddler group (horizontal grouping) so we can focus on sleep routines, bottle feeding and first developmental milestones. We supply nappies, wipes and care products; parents only need to bring spare clothes. Special dietary needs can be accommodated by arrangement. Toddlers join a dedicated preschool group where they work on language, numeracy and motor skills through our recognised Early Childhood Education programme. Weekly activities include music, arts and crafts, and STEM discovery in our spacious garden. Short excursions to the forest or petting farm are organised regularly. Parents stay informed via the secure Parro app: daily reports, photos and messages are shared instantly. Half-day care is available and we remain open during school holidays. Together we ensure every child feels safe, seen and challenged. New families are warmly invited for a tour and introductory meeting.
