Welcome to Kindcentrum De Bosvlinder, located at Bosweg 1 in the heart of Hooghalen. As part of the Kits Primair foundation, we have provided trusted childcare for the very youngest for over 24 years. Our day-care centre is designed for up to 24 children aged 0 to 4 and follows a horizontal group structure, with babies, toddlers and preschoolers playing and developing in age-based groups. We believe every child is the owner of his or her own development. From that vision we offer a safe, homely environment in which children discover who they are and what they can do. Our pedagogical staff follow the VVE programmes ‘Startblokken’ and ‘Kaleidoscoop’, so language, numeracy and social skills are stimulated through play. Each day includes music, books and creative activities; outdoor play and nature experience take place in our own garden or during short excursions in the area. Practical care is in trusted hands: nappies, wipes, formula, fruit and drinks are included. For children with allergies or special diets we tailor the menu in consultation with parents. Every child has a personal cot in a quiet bedroom; the very youngest nap outdoors in the fresh air when weather permits. Parents follow the day via the KidsAdmin parent portal and receive photos and messages directly on their phone. We work closely with the primary school located in the same IKC building. This gives preschoolers an early taste of the school environment and ensures a smooth transition to kindergarten. Our team is ready every weekday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; half-days or flexible care are always negotiable.
