KDV Kiezel en Kei

On the edge of Bergambacht, right next to the small animal pasture, stands our authentic and atmospheric wooden building. Inside you will find Kinderdagverblijf Kiezel en Kei, where children from 0 to 4 have a wonderful time in a warm, home-like setting. We work with three groups: a quiet baby group and two groups in which children of different ages play together. This set-up is deliberate—children learn so much from one another. The little ones copy the older children, while the toddlers proudly help and strengthen their own skills in the process. In the baby group all attention goes to the very youngest; they can make their first discoveries in life at ease, guided by our experienced pedagogical staff. Language development is a key focus. Every day we read aloud from a book and link games to the story’s theme. We chat with your child, truly listen and playfully stimulate the recognition of colours, shapes, numbers and letters. Our wooden rooms are light, clear and cosily furnished. Toys are rotated regularly to match the themes, ensuring every child finds the right level of challenge. The very smallest have their own baby garden; the toddlers explore the spacious outdoor area with sandpit, bikes and hiding places. Movement is just as important. We have our own play hall and gym with slide and soft mats. Once a week we offer toddler gym: moving, climbing and dancing together, even when it rains outside. And outdoors? We head out almost every day—popping over to the animal pasture, visiting the playground or doing a little shopping. With the three-year-olds we visit the elderly at care centre Slothoven; such a rich learning experience! Kinderdagverblijf Kiezel en Kei is part of an integral child centre together with the primary school and after-school care. This allows us to ensure a smooth transition to primary education, whatever school you choose later on.
