KDV Vlinder Villa

Welcome to KDV Vlinder Villa, located on the characteristic former military base in Weert at Kazernelaan 101. Since September 1, 2020, we have been part of Istia childcare, combining our 20 years of experience in small-scale childcare with the expertise of a professional organization. We provide care in four groups for children aged 0 to 4 years, deliberately remaining small to guarantee personal attention and high-quality care. Our pedagogical approach is based on calmness, rhythm, and attention to each child's uniqueness. We work with fixed groups and dedicated childcare professionals, where babies, toddlers, and preschoolers play and develop in age-appropriate groups. The daily rhythm is tailored to the needs of different ages: babies follow their own sleep and feeding patterns, while preschoolers eat together at the table and participate in group activities. Children at our center experience a rich variety of activities suited to their developmental stage. We sing together, craft with natural materials, bake bread, and discover the seasons in our own vegetable garden. Outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine - our spacious outdoor areas offer plenty of opportunities to play, discover, and move. We believe children learn through experiencing and exploring in a safe, homely environment. For parents in Weert and surrounding areas, we offer flexible childcare options from Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with half-day options available. We work with organic products, accommodate allergies and special dietary needs, and provide diapers and care products when needed. Our VVE programs (Pre- and Early School Education) prepare preschoolers playfully for primary school, focusing on language development, social skills, and independence.
