Kinderdagverblijf de Brienenshof will open its doors in mid-2025 on the cheese-farm De Brienenshof on the edge of Cothen. We are a true family business: my brother Dennis runs the dairy farm and cheese-making together with our parents Maas and Gea, while I, Martina, am fulfilling my long-cherished dream by starting a day-care centre on the farm. After years of joyful work in primary education – especially in the kindergarten group – I kept wishing to let children connect more closely with animals, plants and outdoor life. When my son wanted to go to the farm every day to play, I knew for sure: this is something many more children deserve! With us everything revolves around growing together: child, parent, day-care, animal and nature. We offer a place where children spend plenty of time outdoors, interact with animals and are free to develop at their own pace. We strive for high-quality child care and are affiliated with the sector organisation VAK. Our centre welcomes up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years. We work with a 50-week full-day contract. During the summer holiday we are closed for two standard weeks (the third and fourth week of the Central region) and also on national holidays and the Friday after Ascension Day. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 18:15. To keep the group calm we kindly ask you to bring your child before 09:00 and pick up from 16:00 onwards. Our hourly rate of €11.64 includes everything: care products such as nappies, wipes and cream, a warm lunch and healthy snacks, overalls, rain gear and boots, plus a birthday treat.
