KDV Avonturijn

Welcome to KDV Avonturijn, located in the brand-new Kindcentrum Avonturijn at Kogger 2 in Mijdrecht. Since Monday 3 March 2025 we have been part of this modern, multifunctional building where primary schools Hofland and Wereldwijs and childcare organisation Kind & Co Ludens work together under the motto ‘Living together, learning together’. Our two vertical groups, Moonstone and Sunstone, provide a homely environment for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4. We work with weekly themes, so every week brings new discoveries. The bright, cheerfully decorated group rooms look out onto a safe, enclosed outdoor area where children can climb, scramble and romp. Between the vertical groups there is a shared hall where we can play or move around in small groups, even when the weather is less inviting. Everything is designed for the different developmental stages of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our pedagogical approach is built on Kind & Co Ludens’ ‘Pedagogical Heart’. This means that a child must first feel safe and seen – only then can it explore and grow. We offer a rich environment full of challenging materials, so that play truly becomes learning. Collaboration is important to us: our mini-society teaches children to take each other and the world around them into account. KDV Avonturijn is small-scale, so every child receives the personal attention they deserve. It feels like coming home. Parents can opt for full or half days and make use of early childhood education (VE), ensuring their child starts primary school well-prepared.
