KC Borculo Pastorie

Welcome to Kindcentrum Avonturijn Borculo Pastorie, a warm and trusted place at Steenstraat 28 in the heart of Borculo. We are part of Stichting Avonturijn and provide small-scale daycare for up to twenty children aged 0 to 4 years. Our two groups, Flamingo and Panda, are organised horizontally: babies and toddlers are cared for separately from the older toddlers and pre-schoolers, so each age group receives the calm and stimulation it needs. The location is housed in a charming building in the characteristic “Avonturijn style”. Colourful murals, homely corners and natural materials give the rooms a cosy feel. Children choose for themselves where and with whom they play: in the construction corner, home corner, reading corner or craft corner. Through play they develop language, motor skills and social abilities. We read aloud every day, sing songs, make music and craft with different materials. Once a year we organise a grandparent week: grandparents are invited to spend a morning playing and discovering together with their grandchild. Outside we have a safe, green playground where natural play is central. Every day we go outside to run, play in the sandpit or simply enjoy some fresh air. Our committed team of permanent pedagogical staff work on fixed days, so children always see the same familiar faces and can build strong bonds. We believe personal attention and a familiar environment are essential for the development of young children.
