KDV Jong Humsterland

Welcome to KDV Jong Humsterland, located in the heart of Oldehove in the atmospheric Dorpshuis Humsterland at Englumstraat 10. We provide small-scale daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and secure environment. Our vertical group concept means children of different ages play and learn together, with a maximum of 16 children per day. The daycare is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is staffed by 2 to 3 permanent pedagogical professionals who give personal attention to each group. In addition to full-day care, we offer pre-school education (VE) toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years. This toddler school is open four mornings a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and uses the Piramide development program. Every four weeks we start a new theme full of playful activities that stimulate language development. Children with a VE indication can participate in extra mornings at no cost. Flexible care is possible: parents can choose fixed days or request flexible days via the KidsKonnect app. We also provide school pick-up and drop-off services for children in the village. Registration is completely non-binding and free of charge. In advance, we schedule an intake interview and a settling-in session so that we can discuss the wishes and special needs of each child together with parents.
