KDV Het Straatje

Welcome to KDV Het Straatje (formerly Joepie) at C.P. Tielestraat 12 in Rotterdam. Since July 1st 2025, we are part of Humankind, the largest non-profit childcare organization in the Netherlands. Together with location Het Laantje (formerly Bommes), we are committed to the optimal development of every child in our city. We provide professional childcare for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. Our childcare is small-scale and homely designed. Upon entering, you are immediately immersed in the warm atmosphere of our building. In the long hallway, each child has their own coat hook. Both groups are calmly decorated with accents in warm colors red, yellow and orange. We consciously chose this because there are already enough stimuli in a daycare center. Our toys have no sound and no lights. Our groups are vertically structured, meaning children from 0 to 4 years play and learn together. This way, children naturally learn to interact with different ages. Due to fixed working days, our pedagogical staff are familiar faces for the children. We find this sense of familiarity important and necessary for children to develop well. We offer both full-day and half-day care. Our location has a capacity of 32 children and has been officially registered since October 13th. Our team of familiar staff is ready to work together with parents to provide the best care and development for every child who comes to us.
