Welcome to BLOS daycare Leeuwenstein, located at Leeuwenstein 5 in the green surroundings of Hoevelaken. Our facility offers childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in two horizontal groups: a baby group (0-2 years) and a toddler group (2-4 years). We follow the principle of ‘learning through play’: children explore the world in small, home-like groups with dedicated, familiar pedagogical staff who truly know every child. Our large natural garden with fruit trees, vegetable patch and own small farm (goats, chickens, rabbits) is the heart of the location. Children help sow, harvest and care for the animals, learning respect for nature from an early age. Each day we sing, dance, create in our art atelier and read books in the cosy reading corner. Our language stimulation programme and the early-education curriculum ‘Startblokken’ prepare toddlers for primary school in a playful way. Every child follows their own rhythm. Babies drink formula or breast milk on demand, nap peacefully in separate sleeping rooms and enjoy plenty of cuddles. Toddlers receive a warm organic lunch, fresh fruit and healthy snacks. We adapt meals for children with allergies. Outdoor naps are possible in our snug outdoor sleeping huts, letting children enjoy fresh air and the sounds of nature. Safety and a sense of security are paramount. The location has a secure entrance and parents receive daily photos and messages through the BLOS Parent App. Half-day care is available.
