Welcome to Montessori Daycare located at Gravenstraat 19 in the heart of Hoorn. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland, a trusted name in childcare for over forty years in the region. Our daycare provides care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe, familiar and Montessori-inspired environment. Our passionate childcare professionals dedicate themselves daily to giving each child the optimal care and attention they deserve. We work according to the principles of Maria Montessori: "Help me to do it myself". This vision translates into our daily practice by giving children space to discover, learn and grow at their own pace. We provide a prepared environment with specially developed materials that align with the different developmental stages of babies and toddlers. For the youngest children, we have quiet sleeping areas where babies can sleep safely in their own cribs. We provide diapers, wipes and other care products so parents can bring their children worry-free. Bottle feeding is given upon request and we carefully track each child's feeding and sleeping schedule. For toddlers from 2 years old, we have special toddler groups where their curiosity and natural desire to learn is fully stimulated. Our activities focus on stimulating imagination, promoting language development and playfully discovering the world. We work with VVE programs using the Startblokken method, where we playfully work on developing language, math and social skills. Music is also part of our offering, where children are introduced to rhythm, singing and different instruments. Outdoor play is equally important to us: our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities for climbing, running and discovering nature. We believe good communication with parents is essential. Therefore, we always start with a free settling-in period of two weeks, so child, parents and our team can get to know each other well.
