Basker IKC - Het Sterrenbos

Welcome to the toddler group of IKC Het Sterrenbos, located in the heart of our integral child center at van Wijkstraat 16a in Huissen. We offer two toddler groups for children aged 2 to 4 years, with childcare situated right in the middle of the school, between the classrooms. This unique location ensures that your toddler becomes familiar with the school environment at an early age, making a smooth transition to primary education. Our toddler groups follow a continuous development line, where pedagogical staff and teachers collaborate within one pedagogical and educational approach. We utilize all the facilities our IKC has to offer: the sports hall, auditorium, playroom, and a specially designed toddler-kindergarten playground where toddlers and kindergarteners play together and learn from each other. The spacious schoolyard is safely divided into a section for the youngest children up to 6 years old and a section for older children. We believe it's important for children to discover the world around them. Therefore, we regularly take trips to the library, park, or playground in the neighborhood. These activities contribute to your child's language development and overall development. Our program is designed to help children gain experiences, knowledge, and skills that contribute to their personal development. The toddler groups are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. You can choose between full-day care or two half-day sessions. We work with VVE (pre- and early school education) to optimally support your child's development. For communication with parents, we use Klasbord, a secure parent app that keeps you informed about your child's development and experiences.
