IKC De Vonkenmorgen

IKC De Vonkenmorgen is located at Nijmeegsestraat 19 in Gendt and is part of Stichting De Linge. We provide tailor-made daycare for children from ten weeks up to 4 years old. In our horizontal and vertical groups every child receives an offer that matches his or her age and stage of development. With the youngest babies we follow their own rhythm as much as possible. We offer calm, warmth and trust so that each infant feels safe to grow. Toddlers already learn to work with a fixed daily routine: a predictable rhythm of playing, sleeping, eating and cuddling. In this way they discover the world at their own pace while developing social skills as they play with peers. Children from the age of 2 take part in our educational toddler programme. We focus on language development, motor skills and independence. Through play we practise counting, colours, singing and storytelling. The toddler group works closely with primary school groups 1-2, making the future transition small and familiar. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day with attention, knowledge and a listening ear. We work from one pedagogical vision: letting children shine by connecting with their talents and curiosity. Together with parents we create a safe, challenging and welcoming place where the joy of playing and learning comes first. During the new-build project at Schoolstraat our daycare is temporarily housed in the War Museum in Gendt. We keep our familiar team, our play materials and our warm atmosphere. All childcare options remain available: full days, half days or flexible hours, tailored exactly to what you and your child need.
