IKC De Tjalk

Located in the Leyens district of Zoetermeer, IKC De Tjalk is an integral child centre offering Junis daycare for children aged 0 to 4. Under one roof we combine care and education according to a single clear vision: children develop and learn from trust, security and challenge. Our pedagogical staff guide the youngest children in six spacious, bright rooms with separate sleeping areas, so every baby and toddler can rest whenever needed. Outside, an adventurous playground and a separate garden for the very youngest await, where they can safely burn off energy. We follow a fixed daily schedule that provides structure and clarity; through play, children explore their boundaries and develop both individual and social skills. Toddlers aged 3.5 already join the kindergarten classes two mornings a week in a playful way, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school later on. Our daycare groups also make use of the gym, library and large playground of the IKC. At IKC De Tjalk every child’s development comes first. We offer a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment in which babies, toddlers and preschoolers can grow to their full potential. Parents can easily request extra days through our parent portal and we keep everyone informed via the Parro app.
