Welcome to KDV Hummeltjeshof, a small-scale private daycare centre located at Kerkstraat 12 in Altforst. We are Corina Stevens and Manon Teunissen: two young mothers who, in 2017, decided to combine their years of experience in childcare to create a truly warm nest where every child feels welcome. Our fixed team of pedagogical staff shares the same vision and is ready every day with great enthusiasm for your little one. Everything we do revolves around loving care, safety and security. We provide a familiar environment where children aged 0 to 4 can develop at their own pace. Through play, we stimulate your child's development and strive to be an extension of the upbringing at home. We organise theme-based, challenging activities that inspire children to keep growing – always in a playful, free and relaxed manner. Our Altforst location feels like a real home: we work with vertical groups where children of different ages play together and learn from each other. Outdoor play is a priority; our own garden offers plenty of space to romp around, while we regularly go on excursions to the gnome trail or other fun places in the area. Fruit, snacks and drinks are included and we take allergies and special dietary needs into account. For the very youngest we provide bottle feeding and ensure they can sleep peacefully in our separate sleeping areas. We believe it is important to accommodate your wishes as a parent as much as possible: affordable childcare close to home with flexible opening hours. That is why we also offer half-day care and are always open to your ideas and questions. With us, your child is not a number, but a little one who is cared for with love and personal attention.
