Welcome to KDV het Vlindertje, located at Hoofdstraat 177 in the centre of Hoogezand. We provide professional daycare for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, homely atmosphere. Our small-scale facility has room for a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to give every toddler and baby the personal attention they deserve. At het Vlindertje we work in one vertical group. This means children of different ages play and learn together. This setup encourages social development: the very youngest watch the toddlers and preschoolers, while the older children are proud to help the younger ones. Our permanent, creative pedagogical staff – all professionally trained at mbo or hbo level – guide this process with patience and love. We believe it is important that children feel safe and at home. That is why we furnish our spaces cosy and homely, with familiar corners where they can play, sleep or just take a break. We work with fixed daily routines, so every child knows what to expect. Crafts, singing, outdoor play in our garden and exploring with different materials are on the programme every day. We take into account the rhythm and needs of each child; one needs more rest, the other wants to run and climb. Parents are not just a number to us. We are open for daily chats at drop-off and pick-up, so we know how the night went or if anything is going on at home. This contact helps us to connect even better to what your child needs.
