Welcome to Daycare ‘Het Pijltje’, our small-scale and homely centre at Van Rijslaan 4A in Delft. Babies and toddlers feel at home from the very first moment. We provide a safe and stimulating environment in which every child can grow and flourish at his or her own pace. Our centre welcomes a maximum of 16 children, divided into two groups: one for babies and one for toddlers. Our regular pedagogical staff create a calm, structured setting with personal attention. The spacious, bright rooms and the sheltered outdoor area invite children to play and explore. We often use natural materials and devote extra attention to sensory experiences. Reading and language development are high on our list of priorities: during the National Storytelling Weeks we read books such as ‘Rinus’ and ‘Bear’s Glasses’, after which the children made their own paper glasses. We also organise small excursions: we fetched New Year’s doughnuts together and went on an autumn walk to discover mushrooms and changing leaves. Indoors there is plenty of room for crafts, singing and story time; outside children can romp, build sandcastles or simply enjoy the fresh air. We are open 51 weeks a year from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Parents can opt for half-day or full-day care.
