Het Kwartelnest

Welcome to daycare centre Het Kwartelnest, located in the heart of Zevenhuizen at Burgemeester Klinkhamerweg 84b. Our daycare is part of gro-up childcare and offers a warm, homely environment for children aged 0 to 4. We are housed in the Swanla community centre, centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. Free parking is available right outside. We operate four horizontal groups: the purple and blue groups work together at the start and end of the day, as do the red and yellow groups. This means children are grouped by age, supporting their development and safety. Our pedagogical staff are on site from 7.30 a.m. each day to prepare everything so that your child is received with the right care. Development is at the heart of what we do. We provide development-oriented activities tailored to your child's age and needs. Themes are explored through theme cards that give background information and tips on different aspects of child development. We have a care coordinator who can be involved for specific questions and work with a specialist coach who supports our staff in dealing with children with challenging behaviour or developmental delays. For the very youngest we provide bottle feeding and care products. We serve bread meals and healthy snacks and drinks. Allergies and special dietary requirements are of course accommodated in consultation with parents. Each child has their own sleeping area and we have a secure outdoor play area. Parents are not outsiders here. We work closely together through the gro-up parent portal, which you can use to deregister your child and request extra childcare. For extra care we try to place your child in their own core group; if this is not possible we ask permission in advance for placement in another group within the same location. We organise an annual parents' meeting and encourage parental involvement by inviting parents to share their expertise with the children about hobbies or professions. Our location is open from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. We expect parents to deregister their child via the Parent App when they decide not to bring them, so that our pedagogical staff do not need to worry.
