Het Kinderkasteel

Welcome to Daycare Het Kinderkasteel, a homely branch of KOO Meppel located in the Oosterboer district. We provide care for up to 32 children per day, divided into two vertical groups. Group Harlekijn welcomes children aged 2–4 for both daycare and preschool playgroup, while Group Minstreel is a calm baby and toddler group where the youngest experience warmth and safety. Throughout the year we work with themes and closely follow each child’s development. Through play we foster independence and help children learn to manage more and more by themselves—because that’s how they grow! Our qualified pedagogical staff are the same familiar faces every day, offering personal attention and continuity. Outdoors, children explore our spacious garden with natural play areas; indoors there is plenty of room for crafts, reading and discovery. We maintain good relationships with primary schools in Meppel and provide a warm handover when needed, ensuring a smooth transition to school. In short, at Het Kinderkasteel children and parents find small-scale, cosy and safe development under one roof.
