Hero Kinderdagverblijf Venkelstraat

Our Hero daycare centre is located on Venkelstraat in Haarlem-Zuid. The building was specially designed for childcare. The round shapes, natural materials and light colours give it a child-friendly appearance. You'll notice this as soon as you enter the central hall from the entrance: it's large and bright, with plenty of space to play. The baby and toddler groups are arranged around this space, with the bedrooms behind them so that the little ones can take their naps in peace and quiet. The walls between the groups are largely made of glass, allowing plenty of daylight to enter. Each group has its own door to the garden. What makes us special is that we work with the playful Uk and Puk programme in our toddler groups. This programme focuses on working with themes that connect well with toddlers' world of experience and playfully make them curious for more. A beautiful stepping stone towards primary school. Part of the day, the doors between the groups are open so that younger and older children can play together. This way, they also get to know all the pedagogical staff, making the transition to the next age group very natural. For the very youngest, a challenging baby garden has been set up. There, they can play safely while watching the older children. The toddlers eat together at a large table by the window.
