KDV Hasseltse Poorten

Welcome to KDV Hasseltse Poorten, located in the heart of Tilburg's Oud-Noord district at Hasseltstraat 194. Our daycare is part of Kindcentrum Hasseltse Poorten, an integral child centre that has been a familiar face in the neighbourhood since 1901. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a unique location: the atmospheric former Hasselt church, where the original pillars and stained-glass windows are still present and the space has been transformed into a warm, safe home base for the very youngest. With us, everything revolves around creating a familiar environment in which children feel safe and seen. We work with a clear pedagogical structure and have high expectations for every child, based on trust and giving space to discover. Our pedagogical staff are ready to go on an adventure with your child together, to play, cuddle and grow. The discovery garden surrounding the building offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experience, while inside the characteristic church hall has been transformed into a colourful, stimulating learning environment. As part of Kindcentrum Hasseltse Poorten, we offer a continuous line from 0 to 13 years. For our very youngest, this means that they become familiar at an early age with the place where they can later also go to school. We work closely with parents and actively involve them in their child's development. Our childcare is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and offers space for up to 32 children, offering pre-school education (VE) to optimally prepare children for the transition to primary school.
