H3O Peuteropvang De Regenboog Volkerakweg

H3O Peuteropvang De Regenboog Volkerakweg is a small-scale toddler care centre located on the grounds of IKC De Regenboog • De Staart in Dordrecht. We provide care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our aim is to prepare children for primary school in a safe, playful and development-oriented way. Our toddlers regularly interact with the kindergarten children from the school. We use attractive developmental materials and educational programmes that connect with the world of experience of young children. The staff of the toddler care and the primary school form one close-knit team. By sharing knowledge and experience, we ensure a smooth transition to group 1. Movement is central to our approach. Our toddlers participate in movement activities with 'Nijntje' and receive weekly dance lessons from a professional dance teacher. During these dance lessons, new words are repeated and processed in play and movement. The dance teacher coordinates her lessons with our pedagogical staff. All toddlers participate in toddler dance. They not only learn new words, but also cooperation, creative thinking and recognising and expressing emotions. Our natural playground invites versatile movement and creative play. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily activities. We believe that children learn best through play and discovery. Our location is small-scale and clear, allowing us to give each child personal attention. We work according to the principles of early childhood education (VE). This means that we work specifically on children's language and thinking development, so that they can start their school career well prepared. Our team consists of experienced pedagogical staff who know what toddlers need to develop optimally.
