KDV Floortje Nachtegaal

Welcome to KDV Floortje Nachtegaal, our small-scale daycare center located at Dr. Deelenlaan 7 in Tilburg-West, right next to the ETZ TweeSteden Hospital. We provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in three horizontal groups: two baby-toddler groups (0-3 years) and one preschool group (2-4 years). Our pedagogical professionals create a safe and secure environment where children have the space to discover themselves and develop into independent, articulate individuals with their own personality. We believe in letting children be children. By truly observing children and connecting with their sense of wonder and imagination, we help them explore the world. We see what they need at any given moment and create the environment required: safe, secure, and challenging. Our location features a large, green discovery garden where children can play to their heart's content every day. The garden is enclosed and offers various hills, paths, and corners that stimulate imagination. Even the youngest children go outside and sleep wonderfully in outdoor cribs. Indoors, we play with natural materials and go on discovery tours in our vegetable garden. Activities are tailored to whatever occupies the children that day. We work with themes visible in the groups and provide a rich stimulating play-learning environment with attention to children's own initiatives. This challenges children to go on discovery themselves, explore materials, and gain experiences. We love using 'unfinished' natural materials that allow children to let their imagination run free. For the youngest ones, we have a separate quiet and safe space. Our daily routine provides structure and security. For babies and toddlers, we adjust the rhythm to the individual child to maintain the home rhythm as much as possible. There are fixed moments that recur daily, such as eating fruit together, bread meals, and thematic activities with VVE-starting blocks. We communicate openly with parents and are ready with advice on development and parenting.
